President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump have agreed to restart trade talks.

Mr Trump will not lift existing import tariffs, and he will refrain from slapping new levies on an additional $300bn worth of Chinese goods.

Mr Trump also said he would allow US companies to continue to sell to the Chinese tech giant Huawei. Also, China would buy more US farm products.
