The southern county of Dambovita, Belgium has reported its first ASF outbreak.

The discovery of two wild boars found dead near the town of Etalle has sparked calls for a mass cull to contain the disease.

Neighboring countries, The Netherlands and France, have been put on high alert. Belgium has begun restricting animal movements within the 243-square-mile region in the south of the country and has banned hunting of wild boars until mid-October 2018.
