India soybeans dip in 2018

India’s soybean crop is likely to yield 11.3 million tonnes, a slight decline from the earlier estimate of 11.5 million tonnes.

Declining cultivation area is the main reason for the declining harvest.

Peanut production is also down from six million tonnes to 5.1 million tonnes due to poor yield. Edible oil exports declined 4% to 14.5 million tonnes.
